Les nouveaux amoureux de Paris has an expressly documented relationship to an older design. Hermès identifies Maurice Tranchant’s original as a 1951 map of Paris populated by famous couples, then presents Pierre Marie’s work as a reinterpretation. The distinction matters: 1951 belongs to the predecessor, not to Pierre Marie’s drawing and the historical reference does not make the two designs a single catalogue entity.[1]
On the official bandana page, Paris becomes a setting for varied kinds of lovers, watched over by cupids. The maison’s description names dandies, skateboarders and cyclists and moves between the Eiffel Tower and Montmartre. Its account places present-day urban figures within an inherited romantic map, giving the adaptation a playful contemporary register. This is a reading of the written house description, not a claim to have examined the exported scarf image.[1]
The documented product is a 55 × 55 cm silk bandana credited to Pierre Marie. It must remain distinct from the frozen 90 cm carré record.[1]

The design identity and correspondence of individual versions remain unconfirmed. Separate publishers do not demonstrate independent historical dating. Search-index evidence excluded from usable opened-source count; affected statements must remain internal leads. A second distinct usable evidence origin is not established for this entry. Longer primary-based account is possible after pruning, but the extra seller text repeats the maison and is not an independent second witness.
