About MyQuotaBag

MyQuotaBag is an independent iPhone and iPad app created by a Hermès client in North America. It was built for one simple reason: keeping a clear, private record of a real quota bag journey is harder than it should be.

How it started

MyQuotaBag wasn’t planned as an app. It began with a real need and grew from there.

It began at home, around a wedding anniversary. I asked my wife what she had always dreamed of. She said a Birkin. At the time, it felt out of reach. That answer opened the door to a journey we ended up discovering together.

And we quickly realized that the journey was about much more than a bag. There were pieces we loved, boutique visits, people we met along the way, conversations that became friendships and sometimes special events that became part of the memories.

I started by trying to understand the journey myself. Good information existed, but it was scattered across conversations, forums, videos and articles, sometimes out of date, sometimes contradicting itself. I began gathering it and checking it to make my own life simpler. Then I wanted to share that work. That became the public side of MyQuotaBag: the guides, the calculator and the research.

At the same time, we needed a simple place to keep our own journey. Purchases, receipts, dream items, photos, visits and notes. First I kept simple notes, then I built an Excel dashboard. When I showed it to a few friends and fellow collectors, some asked if they could have something like it too. So I kept refining it and it became the app.

The idea has stayed the same on both sides: spend less time looking for information and more time enjoying the journey.

We are Hermès clients ourselves. MyQuotaBag is completely independent, but it was built with respect for the Maison, its craftsmanship and the community around it.

Who is behind MyQuotaBag

MyQuotaBag is made by an independent developer in Québec, Canada. The app has been on the App Store since April 2026.

What MyQuotaBag is

A private place to keep purchases, receipts, boutique visits, notes, your Quota Bag, dream items and category balance organized, with a Purchase Ratio that updates as your history grows. When you use Scan, the receipt image you select may be sent to an external AI service solely to read the purchase details. You review everything before saving. Manual entry is always available, with no image. No account is required to start and your records belong to you.

The app evolves with feedback from real users in the United States and Canada. New features are added based on what clients actually need during their journey, not on what looks good in marketing. Questions and suggestions are always welcome at info@myquotabag.com. Most of what is in the app today started as a suggestion from a client.

MyQuotaBag is not affiliated with Hermès. It is not a formula, a shortcut or a prediction tool. It does not guarantee any offer or outcome. Anyone promising those things is selling something else.

Is there an app for tracking an Hermès wishlist?

Yes. MyQuotaBag is an independent iPhone and iPad app that keeps your wishlist next to the pieces you own: your Quota Bag (the bag you are working toward) and your dream items (the pieces you are considering), each with its photos, details and notes. A dream item can be added by hand or from one to three screenshots of a product page. When it becomes yours, the I got it button turns it into a purchase.

Is there an app to organize my Hermès purchases and wishlist?

Yes. MyQuotaBag keeps your purchases, receipts, boutique visits, notes, Quota Bag and dream items together in one private place. The Journal holds your history, the Gallery shows the pieces you own and your Purchase Ratio updates from the purchases you record.

How do I keep track of my Hermès receipts?

In MyQuotaBag, open Scan and choose Take photo for a paper receipt or Choose photo for a saved or emailed one. The image you choose is sent to an external AI service to read the purchase details and you review everything before saving. With an account, the receipt image stays attached to the purchase; Manual entry adds a purchase with no image.

Is there a private way to log Hermès boutique visits?

Yes. In the MyQuotaBag Journal, Log records a Boutique Visit, a Note or a Private Event, with no purchase needed. Home then shows your visit rhythm and your last visit. As a guest, your journal stays on your phone; with an account, it is kept in your private account. MyQuotaBag does not share it with Hermès or any boutique.

What tools do Hermès collectors use to track their purchases?

Some collectors keep notes or a spreadsheet. General handbag trackers like MyPursefolio or Pursely follow the value of any bag. OrangePeel compares a spend total with community reports.
